I had a great weekend. A friend from FL that I went to highschool with, came to visit me here in DC. It was a nasty weekend weather wise, but we had a great time catching up anyways! Sorry for whining so much Linda, next time I will bring some cheese. LOL We went into the city one day to the Museum of Natural History. Fun, but dang it was SUPER CROWDED. Yikes. We also watched three movies in two days oh and bashed on the hubbies a leetle bit...lol. All in all GOOD TIMES!!

I just love her incorporation of different types of papers in such unique ways. The layering is fantastic and how can you NOT love the fall colors.
Next I saw this card byjenniwren at Acherryontop.com. Seriously, could it be any cuter??? She is my absolute hero when it comes to cards and crafts. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous stuff.
Next, I recently purchased some Bella Blvd. papers and wanted to check out their blog, while I was there I saw this adorable wreath done by Beth Gerlach. Can you believe ALL THE FLOWERS are handcut from paper??? And she stickled them all?? Now that is some patience, but dang the outcome is adorable!
and HERE I am!! Can you believe it......I have actually blogged twice when I said I would!! LOL
I just want to thank everyone for the awesome ideas!!! I am going to keep it open until Wednesday and then draw a winner of that gift certificate I promised!
So I think I what I am going to do is the "What caught my eye" on Fridays and on Mondays I am going to either post a review of a product or line or a layout and give some background info on it. Does that sound good? If you have any products you want reviewed--just post to the blog. If for some reason I have not used the product or line, I will find someone I trust and get the scoop for you there.
On a personal note, we did not end up going away this weekend, but decided to spend the moola on a new big boy bike for Cole. He had been riding a small bike without training wheels since Spring, but we wanted to get him a 20inch bike before it got to cold for him to use it. He had a blast. Did the track lap AT LEAST 25 times. And YES he did sleep good last night. LOL

Oh and BUSY TV night for me. MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL and my Fins are playing!! DWTS and Castle are also on....so this is where I give HUGE THANKS to the person that invented DVR. He is right up there with the guy who invented boneless wings, in my book!! LOL
well at some point someone probably will, cause you KNOW I am a slacker on this thing, and to the one who does it will be a gc to ACOT!

I love following links to people's blogs. So much eye candy and things to learn. Recently I clicked on PaperHugs by Rachel Hughes (who is a HOOT btw 
) and I saw that she has a VERY smart idea. Update your blog on certain days. I sometimes get so overwhelmed with other online stuff that I forget to do this.................. so now I am on a mission. I am going to make Mondays and Fridays my posting days. I think I can handle that!!! Now who is gonna call me out on it, if I screw up??? If you catch me screwing up, it just might mean a little something for ya!! LOL

the Dolphins won yesterday. I was about to go into a fetal position. I simply could not handle another one of those 1-15 seasons right now. LOL
Things are going okay! Cole is liking school and I have been trying to jump in, volunteering at his school. It is just not the same as other places we have lived. I tried to tell this to one of my friends from FL, we don't live in a town but rather a subdivision outside of a town. So really the only way to meet people is through the school and it makes things a little tough. It is rather cliquish, but I am wearing them down. 
George is loving the traffic.....NOT!!!! But we are dealing. Thanks for all the good vibes and wishes. You guys all ROCK!!!
This weekend we are heading down to Williamsburg. Cole has no soccer game and the Fins don't play until Monday so we gotta take advantage of the free weekend...lol. That should be fun!!
Okay, now for the scrapping side of things. Did quite a bit last weekend. Got to work with LYB Autumn Bliss line for ACOT this month. It is freaking gorgeous. But I kind of underestimated just when the leaves when change here...guess I thought I was still in CO, where it has already snowed. Eeeek. But I was able to pull it off by doing some other layouts using the gorgeous fall colors.
Then for my Clip it Up work I got to work with Graphic 45. I have never used them before and was a little intimidated by the vintage feel of them, but I think they worked great for this layout of my honeybear!!!
And last but not least the new tv season has started and I am once again hooked on DWTS. However, to my disappointment no one sexy like JT or Gilles this time around. Oh and CASTLE is back......that show is AWESOME!!!! I will see if I can post a link here for those that might want to watch it. Seriously funny, sexy and smart show!!

We took about an hour ride to the Luray Caverns! Must be a popular place (although our timing of going during Labor weekend was not great...lol) because the wait was over 2hrs to get in. So we decided to skip the caves this time and instead do the Garden Maze right there. It was a BLAST. They had four places you could find in the maze and get a sheet stamped (did not have to do this but that was FUN)!!! and there were 40 places where you had to decide which way to go. We want to definitly do it again!
PAHAHAAH and TWO posts in ONE day,......told you I was gonna have more time once munchkinman was in school!!!!

Well, I guess he is not a baby anymore!!! Last year was half day kindergarten so this is a huge change for both of us. While I am looking forward to a little bit of free time (you know like being able to go to the bathroom without hearing "MOM!!") I am going to miss him!!! He truly is my little buddy and I enjoy spending time with him!!
He was really excited though. So that definetly made it easier on me. While his school is MUCH bigger than what we are used to, they are really organized and it made the dropping off super easy. Although at one point, I thought I would need a map to get out.
Although he was excited, he to was a little concerned about not seeing me, so I made him this little quick book to have in his backpack!! I know, I know, I AM A GOOBER!!
Okay off to shower and go to the Commisary by myself!!! Woooooo hooooooo

Other items, we went to Cole's open house today to meet his teacher and she seems really nice. She is retired military, so she understands what we are going through and that helps a ton. Although, I have to say the school is a little intimidating. Close to 900 students. Eek there is SIX first grades. Wow. BUT, Cole was happy so that is what counts.

well, after a couple months of on going pity parties, I think I am finally coming out of my slump. Although, I have to say, I might have a relapse when my little man goes to first grade next week.....oh gawd.
Anyway, my scrappy room is finally almost done. And it is looking pretty good I must say. TWO closets worth of stuff. (yeah, I do have a little bit of stuff...lol).

Then I did this one for ACHERRYONTOP.com crop! Pam (my cohost in crime) and I did a challenge where you had to use black/white and a bright color. She texted me to tell me she did Teal(check out her AWESOME layout below)....well then of course I had to do orange. bwahahaaha YES, it IS FOOTBALL season!!

We are settled into VIrginia (well as settled as we can be---it is not exactly an ideal situation for us--yadayadada) and George starts school next Monday. Cole does not start until Sept 8th though, so I am busy trying to keep a bored 6 year old entertained. OH VEY!
In the past two months we have been to CO-KS-IN-PA-NY-DC-NY-FL-DC and next week we are heading to NC. BUSY SUMMER TO BE SURE!!
I will get pics posted soon! Got to hang with a bunch of friends at CHA, then my internet BFF came to stay with us, met up with Cec, and we got to see Patti and Hunter! Cole was ecstastic.
In the midst of all this, I was able to get my reveal done for Clip it up! I Love how it came out and I just love being a part of the team. Got to see them to while I was in Orlando. We got our pic taken as we were eating from a loverly lady that had to take pics with all our cameras. Thank goodness it was a scrappy show and she understood the need for mulitple shots. Anyway, when they got to my camera, Renee told them to make faces.....she knows I am a goofball. LOVE IT!!!
good lawd, I hate when I don't say anything for a bit and then ramble and ramble and ramble. Somebody stop me. LOL
okay breathe Sus, breathe!!!! I am just soooooooooooooooo excited. I found out yesterday (had to keep it inside..for a day...EEEKK that was tough) that I made the first ever Design Team for Clip it Up!!!
Seriously, could this be anymore perfect, I 
my Clip it Ups!! And to be able to help them shout it out to the world, just tickles me pink!!!
I am so honored to be chosen!!! I just looked at my fellow Dt members blogs from there and I have to say I am in AWE of their work. I totally better step it up!!!!
Anyway, today is the last day in my house before we start our journey but I just could not control myself not to post!!! LOL
but where in the heck are the Summer CHA previews?? I am chomping at the bit and wanted to drool over stuff before I head down there in July. Don't they know we scrappers are the impatient sort???? 
Other random stuff, we went back down to the Dunes for Father's Day. AMAZING beauty!!! Seriously. These things are huge and pics do not do them justice. Last time we went it was cloudy and cold, today the sky was so blue against the sand. It was INCREDIBLE. TOTALLY worth seeing!!!

Tonight was my going away party and the plan was to go to Chick Fil A to eat (LOVE that place and everytime they eat there, they think of me, so it seemed fitting) and then back to Crystal's for some Colorado Bulldogs. Well at 6:15, I look out my window to see if they are there and there is a FREAKING LIMO!!!!! They had rented me a limo to take me to Chick Fil A!!! It was hilarious and so much fun!!!
We grabbed our food, ate in the limo then back to Crystals. There they had a gift basket for me containing all the makings for a Colorado Bulldog. A delicious and yummy drink that Crystal introduced me too!! AND a cake that was simply to DIE FOR!!!!
We had such a great night!! I am going to truly miss each and everyone of these gals, but I know I have made friends for life and I am just so dang thankful!!!!! LOVE YOU ALL!!!!
with the impending move, I really feel like my scrapping is "off" not sure what it is , but the past 5 months or so I don't like what I have scrapped? Has that ever happened to you??
Oh well, out of about 25 layouts I like these four!! Here is to hoping I get my butt back in gear after the move is ovah!!

So as most of you know my trip to MN was cancelled. I was bummed to be sure, but that enabled me a quick little trip down to Albuquerque to catch up with some friends before we move.
I was able to see my great friend Tiffany with her family (LOVE THEM ALL!!!!) and my dear friends and past coworkers at Presbyterian hospital--Tom and Monica!
One thing I have to say about the military is although I am NOT a fan of moving, the moving has brought so many wonderful people into my life. This week alone, I got to see my friends in NM and my friends here in CO are throwing me a going away party!!!! I consider myself truly blessed to have met so many wonderful people and know that I have lifelong friendships all over!!
Speaking of friendships.....I also have my CHERRY friends who have been soooooooo great, listening to me whine and complain about this move. My friend from Denver drove down and scrapped with me, for my last time at Archivers. She got me a TON of scrappy goodies, but my favorite was a chipboard DUDE album. AND another cherry friend got me a LUSH koozy. Seriously, how GREAT are they!!
